You can just take a simple plastic pry tool and pry it off. Than split it into 2 pieces the chrome piece has plastic tabs that are very fragile and you will most likely lose a couple on the split, which is no big deal. I have taken mine off a couple times I went with the Hyoerdip matte black at first than went with rec second since I felt the flowtie got a bit lost in the black grill with the Hyperdip. Anything to get rid of chrome lol I have 0 chrome left on my truck looks so much better.
I had a hard time getting what was the red internal flowtie piece (now black) to clip back into the outside chrome. I had to use some glue. In the end it came out good however.
I’m all blacked out. Except the small chrome piece on the front handles. Anyone change those out?

They aren't really clips they are like plastic solder spots and there is about 8 if I remember correctly. I just used clear Gorilla Glue on any that broke. Also the entire Flowtie if you break it or damage it is only $40.23 I bought a new one and had it stripped and painted by a shop in my area to be red now.
