You can just take a simple plastic pry tool and pry it off. Than split it into 2 pieces the chrome piece has plastic tabs that are very fragile and you will most likely lose a couple on the split, which is no big deal. I have taken mine off a couple times I went with the Hyoerdip matte black at first than went with rec second since I felt the flowtie got a bit lost in the black grill with the Hyperdip. Anything to get rid of chrome lol I have 0 chrome left on my truck looks so much better.
