I went that route after a 6.2 and then 3.0, both zr2. I would honestly buy the 3.0 again without hesitation. The HD provides much more towing capacity, no auto stop/start, and no cylinder deactivation which are certainly pluses. I’ve also had 10 HD duramaxes starting with the LLY so am familiar...

They all have issues…it’s nothing even close to the 6.2 problems, let’s be honest.

Should be fine to highway drive in that mode, it simply changes a bit of the tuning dynamics - I don’t know for sure but I would assume things like reduced torque management (may feel a bit more responsive), allows for easier wheel spin (less nanny control), etc - won’t do any “damage” though.

I often bump the lights from “Auto” to something else when I get in or out, dings at me until I figure out I’ve bumped the lights knob. Took me a few times to realize what I did, they eventually shut off once I exit which kept me a bit confused 😅

I’d be willing to pay a “climate tax” to delete…not really any different than the politicians like Al Gore (who led the charge on most of this stuff) buying climate credits…the real hypocrisy is government and military vehicles being exempt from the emissions equipment. A classic do what I say...
