Agreed! I’ve cut into mine for my side lights and it’s fairly easy. Supporting underneath is a great idea for stability. Pull the grill and you may have enough room to access without pulling bumper.

Could be worth it but I’ve had a few friends lose their connection with wireless cheaper systems. I really like the Garmin setup, I have the BD sPOD which works great, one cable into cab. Let us know!
