    Billet fuel filter housings

Last time I changed my fuel filter, I was thinking that the plastic housing probably won’t make it the life of the truck. So I think I’ll replace it with an aluminum one now, and keep the oem plastic one as an emergency replacement. Anyone else done this? They are around $40 on amazon, and...

    Another Oil Thread

Just cause I’m extremely OCD/anal but also frugal/cheap… if it were me, I’d use one quart each of the next 2 oil changes, not that it really makes much difference.

The NEW Duramax L5P Oil Filter Problem — And How We Fix It

A little late here, but the oil life calculator wouldn’t be impacted by any kinda of filter setup changes except maybe if oil temps are consistently cooler. I am interested in the setup, sure can’t hurt anything and the price ain’t bad at all! I agree with @AXE about not being needed… but...

    Can bumper sensors be installed?

    Infiniti audio app

Wellll…. No workie for me…. I signed in to google in my truck (via my iphone) while connected to my home wifi. I then went to google play on my iphone, found the app, and it said I had no acceptable devices to download to (or something like that). My truck was greyed out and wouldn't let me...

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

I’m up close to 30% on my last CVX purchases (includes dividends), and about the same on XOM. Bought both less than a year ago. This all just an unexpected result from changing additives to improve lubricity (based on some online tests). The mpg and fewer regens are a bonus.

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Quick update… About 7k miles of using Archoil and still seeing 1-1.5mpg improvement - have set new “records” on my best 25/50/450 mile averages. Last two regens were both right around 820miles (one slightly under, one slightly over) - never saw better than 750ish prior to Archoil.

    Bourbon Talk

Not a big bourbon/American whiskey fan myself (greatly prefer scotches), but have found a couple that I really enjoy… Woodford Double Oaked and Elijah Craig Toasted Rye! I wouldn’t complain any day having to suffer those vs some of my favorite scotches (Glenlivet 15 or 18, Balvenie Double Wood...

    I’ve joined the dark side

I have the GM branded Retrax Pro on mine, and is my favorite for my uses the majority of the time. You can lock it in any spot between fully open and fully closed, locks both sides in place, but takes up some bed space and not easy to remove if ever needed). I have previously had Truxedo soft...

    Duramax Fuel Mileage

I agree with most of it (never found a bed cover to improve mileage myself). Some of yall probably read my recent post about mpg and changing fuel additives.,.. Still seeing better mpg. A good test would be to swap back to the one I was previously using, but no real interest on my part to do...

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Can’t say I’ver ever seen “premium diesel” anywhere I’ve filled up any of my diesel trucks (but that would be limited to AR/OK/LA/TX).

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Have only commuted into the office a couple of times on this tank, but still looking better than previously. Got a couple of hunting trips coming up that’ll burn through another tank of fuel and will update then. Only thing I can think of is boosted cetane. Referring back to one of my earlier...
