    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Can’t say I’ver ever seen “premium diesel” anywhere I’ve filled up any of my diesel trucks (but that would be limited to AR/OK/LA/TX).

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Have only commuted into the office a couple of times on this tank, but still looking better than previously. Got a couple of hunting trips coming up that’ll burn through another tank of fuel and will update then. Only thing I can think of is boosted cetane. Referring back to one of my earlier...

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

I’d bet money we never see the EPA move backwards on emissions equipment. Also too many individual states that would not accept that. Not saying they should or shouldn’t, just personally don’t believe we will ever see the requirements for it reversed.

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Just fyi - Cetane is a measure of how easy/quickly it starts to combust once injected, nothing to do with atomization. Higher cetane also leads to more complete combustion, so more energy is generated (and quicker). Cetane improvers are real, but hard to raise more than 2-3 numbers from my...

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

Yeah, I use the additives more for lubrication. I am a chemical engineer by degree, have worked refining a good bit, and the move to ULSD definitely impacted fuel lubricity. There are additives added to meet certain lubricity, etc, specs before being sent to retail. But thats less transparent...

    Archoil diesel fuel additive…

I just turned 20k miles on my 2024. I had been using Hot Shots EDT until 2-3 tanks of fuel ago. I used their “double dose” amount in every tank religiously. After seeing one of the videos testing and comparing different additives, I decided to give Archoil a try. So 2-3 tanks ago, I started...

    Multi-flex Tailgate - Kicker Install

I had it on my previous 1500 AT4, would not pay more than a couple hundred for it honestly. There’s a bunch of bluetooth speakers that sound better for way less than they want for it.

    Floor Mats

I removed mine early on and honestly cant remember for sure, but I think you are right. I can check in a couple weeks when I’m back at our other place if no one else has responded by then.

Rear Window patch sticker for ZR2

They just peel and stick onto the existing plastic pieces? And look that smooth? The matte stuff on my truck looks like there is some texture to it is why I ask.

    Code reader question

It would be nice for monitoring a few things that are hard to see on my phone - regen status, soot level, etc.

    Code reader question

@securityguy have you tried any other apps with the BlueDriver gadget? I saw someone else post a pic of their screen, and the app (OBD Fusion I think) they were using was on Carplay! Btw - I bought the BlueDriver gadget a while back on your recommendation, works great but their app isn’t...

OTA Update Bricked/Frozen Infotainment - Reset

I’ve had my ‘24 for about 14 months now - no OTA updates that I know of, and infotainment says it’s got the latest version when I checked for updates recently. It’s also not been back to a dealership since I bought it, so no manual updates have been done either, Anyone else? Seems like there...

    5th Wheel Campers

I had the Superglide and was happy with it. Do you need it? Nah, but adds some additional peace of mind (from another anal/OCD ridden engineer). It does make hitching up a little harder, as it’s a pain to hitch up anyway except straight back aligned with the trailer due to the piece that...

    5th Wheel Campers

Been awhile, but I had a 13k lb, 38ft Big Horn a few years back. I had an SRW F350 std bed at the time. I used a SuperGlide hitch and was overall happy with it. https://www.etrailer.com/5W/Pullrite/pul83rr.html

    ZR2 >< Tundra

Toyota trucks have never been known for good fuel economy… has that changed with the newer engines? My 2008 Tundra 5.7L averaged about 14.5mpg if I remember right, but was very reliable, plenty of power and amazing brakes.
