I like the look! What offset are those rims and if I can see correctly those tires are 285/75R17?

They’re zero off set. I was going to go with -12, but got talked out of it. I kinda wish I did get the -12 because these don’t go as flush as I’d like. I had 1.5 inch spacers before with my stock wheels and tires and it made the stance look so much stronger (with some mild rub). I just ordered some 1” US wheel adapters hub centric spacers to get some more poke.
The tires are 285/70/17. Again, I got talked out of getting 35” tires for the 33s. They’re the smarter choice, because there’s zero rub, and, if I’m being honest, I don’t really want a leveling kit for my truck because I’m having trouble as it is finding garages that I can fit my truck in (I live in a major city, with almost zero parking). The 33s are great, buuuut, let’s be honest… 35’s look way better on this truck. In 30,000 kilometers, when I change them there should be plenty of kits and proper ZR2 specific leveling kits that I’ll upgrade to 35s.

So you were getting rubbing with stock wheels / stock tires and a 1.5" spacer? I thought I had read somewhere else on here that 1.5" spacers with the stock setup didn't rub. Is it a YMMV situation depending on how tightly they fit the fender liners or something?

That sounds about right. I did get some rub at both extreme locks with my spacers, but never so much that I was worried. It does sound like a case by case situation with who’s getting rub with spacer by whoever assembled the vehicle. I do know (because of Matt Ross’ YouTube channel) that by removing some auxiliary brackets, some light trimming, with a bottom based lift kit and new upper control arms, you can comfortably fit 35’s that have some very mild poke. He’s done, by far, the most comprehensive work into showing how to work on the ZR2 which, at this point (AEV Bison aside), has zero aftermarket support.

FYI, I threw on some 1.5" spacers this weekend, and I get rubbing on the rear of the fender well on the passenger side when turning full right. Stock wheels / tires.

I'm really surprised to hear some people are rubbing with 1.5 spacers. I'm running 1.5's on stock wheels and tires and I get no rub at all, and I have stressed the truck enough since putting them on that I should have heard and felt it. When the time comes for new wheels and tires and I am getting the same offset as the spacers provide, I just like how it fills out the wheel well.

Do you have any side profile pics? I want 17s badly

My pursuit of the proper stance continues. I originally had 1.5” spacers on the stock wheels and tires and it filled the wells out nicely. When I got my new wheels and tires I’d hoped the zero off set would equal what the spacer did, but I was left with a touch too much tuck. I bought 1” spacers, but in order to get the wheels to fit I’m going to need to trim the lug studs a tiny bit. It’s been tricky finding a place that will do it with my busy schedule, but found a place that will do it next week. In the meantime I put the original 1.5” spacers on and now I have a borderline comical amount of poke with 33” tires that are too small to work with the look. Oh well… They’ll only be on a week then the 1” spacers go on

Goldilocks zone: Finally got 1” spacers installed. Finally the proper fitment. No more excessive poke or too much tuck.

This stance looks good! The wheel is a 17x8.5 with a 0 offset correct? But with a 1 inch spacer it's roughly a -25 offset if I'm not mistaken?

Thanks. I have to be honest, other than the wheels being zero offset, I don’t know how the spacers effect the offset. I’ll take your word if adding spacers contributes to offset measurement

I believe your setup would be similar to a wheel with a -25 offset as far as how far the wheel sticks out. Is it possible to get a shot of the clearance between the tire and control arm? I plan on 315 tires but want to make sure there is room

I have had the 1.5 inch spacers on for around 500 miles and have not had any rubbing.

I ran 1.5” spacers with my stock wheels and tires and had mild rubbing at max lock, both sides, but I’ve heard plenty of other owners running 1.5 spacers with zero rub. It definitely a YMMV situation. That being said, I have 1” spacers (that requires you to trim the OG wheel studs a couple centimeters) and my 285 wheels have zero offset and I have the exact level of rubbing as when I ran 1.5 spacers and stock wheels and tires. I think you can totally run 315 tires with no rubbing, as I’ve heard plenty of others on the forum running then with no issues. Adding a wheel with zero or more negative offset, not only will it most likely mildly rub, but you might have severe rubbing.
I’ll attach a video of Matt Ross’s YouTube channel where he puts some 34”+ tires that are wider than 295.

Sorry, I forgot to take those pics. Here’s my left front

I had 1.5" spacers on mine and the front left rubbed in full max, reverse only. I pulled them off until I figure exactly what I want to do. I for sure want to level it but having trouble finding UCA's that will fit. I had a Motofab set and they would not stay in alignment.
