I was on a biz trip and saw an ad on-line that the ECM can now be unlocked for $1000 and the tune is like another $900. You need to buy tune credits for like $399 and a programmer for another $399 or so. The total to get it done was around $2700. You send them your ECM and in 3-5 days you get it back. I'll try to find the ad I saw but it was from one of the companies Axe may have mentioned in the past.

Hey Larry!
Unlocking support is finally here!!
With HPTuners now offering an unlock service for your truck, we are working hard on getting those custom tunes you know and love from DuramaxTuner.
As we speak we have our 24' L5P getting driven on the dyno AND on the street to verify power, driveability, and reliability.

Some of the Canadien companies are doing full deletes and tunes and exhaust systems for $3200-3500. The advantage is that you'll get rid of the shitty emissions system (DPF and DEF), clean up your oil, increase mileage, 3-4+ mpg, and gain power/torque.

If your gonna keep your truck a long time, a full delete is the way to go. I think some American Companies will have kits and tunes available soon. I think depending upon the state you live in, these illegal laws will be shit canned as soon as the public comment period is done in 43 days.

Anthony got mad at me yesterday when I asked if if he would offer delete tunes. Seemed like his ass was chapped that the illlegal emissions laws were shit canned. Too fucking bad, Lee Zeldin just made rolling coal great again.

I guess a big question will be if manufacturers start making deleted trucks again, what will the value be of our trade? As you know, I typically only keep vehicles for 2 years give or take and then buy new again. If I wait too long to trade her in, I may get hosed on trading in my truck if folks know that deleted versions are coming soon from the factory. I understand this won't happen overnight. However, I was going to keep mine until 2027 and trade for a 28 (if the redesign took place). I think 2+ years to start manufacturing deleted trucks is reasonable if all of this stuff Zeldin's pushing is approved. I may also look at the new RAM for 2027 based on what I hear coming out of Cummins.
