2026 - Color pallette release date(s)

Hello ZR2 Forum,

I am new to the group and doing my research before ordering a ZR2 Bison. I currently own a '18 Silverado ZR1 LTZ Midnight Black, and a life long chevy truck owner. Trying to keep this short.... just now started to tow a 7x16 enclosed trailer with harleys or possibly squeeze a muscle car in. The 1500 is too small, so I am looking at a 2500 HD, and never owned a diesel and looking that route.

I am a blue guy, owning at least 4 trucks in this color (1969, 1981, 2007 & 2013). Researching ZR2, the Lakeshore Blue was discontinued in 2024 and cannot find any on the lots in hold over inventory.

SO, the question is.... when does Chevrolet normally release the color pallete for the next model year?? I would rather wait and order a blue truck, vs settling on Sterling Grey or another Black truck.

Might be early summerish, I think it will be just before they open up the orders for the 2026 rigs. Sometimes they do that as early as April, for early release models. Your dealer might give you a better answer.

I don't see Silverado's on the 26 list yet, but this site is pretty neat if you've never seen it.

ZR2 group. Thanks for the feedback. Having been doing a lot of research, talking with GM and other forums I have decided to pull the trigger and order the 2025 2500HD ZR2 Bison Diesel in Sterling Grey Metallic.

I know its more truck than I will need, but really wanted the ZR2 but not available in Lakeshore Blue. Reviews were not the best for 6.6L Gas for traversing grades with attached trailers. I figured its a once in lifetime purchase, so pull the trigger on the real deal. This will be my first diesel, so I will be learning more from this group on that topic.

I added the upfitter switches as in the future I want to put lights in the AEV bumpers. Any feedback on this topic will be great, but will search for that as well.

Order will be submitted on 5/5/25, hope for allocation on 5/9/25. Will share with the forum lead time for new builds currently.
