Billet fuel filter housings

Last time I changed my fuel filter, I was thinking that the plastic housing probably won’t make it the life of the truck. So I think I’ll replace it with an aluminum one now, and keep the oem plastic one as an emergency replacement.

Anyone else done this? They are around $40 on amazon, and $100+ from the online diesel stores. While I like supporting US companies, none of those say made in US, so prob all from China anyway.

Anyone recommend one off Amazon before I just order based on pics and reviews?

I debated it too when doing my first filter. I didn't think the OEM one was was as bad as some people described, so I decided I wouldn't worry about it unless I see a problem.
