So I bought the 2022 ZR2 6.2 L currently as it stands I’ve had the rear end replaced both control, arms transmission two engines and now it’s in the shop repairing and waiting on the third engine note that I didn’t even make it a full oil change since the last motor replacement does anybody have any way or idea how I can get out of this truck and get my money back? I literally have had the truck for going on two years and it’s been in the shop for over half the time I’ve owned it the headache and everything is just at a bowling point. I’ve owned nothing but GM all my life and it makes me sick to think that I would ever buy another GM brought. I don’t know what to do. Help me out guys.

Lemon laws generally do not apply to used vehicles sadly. I would eat the loss and just trade out of it. I had a huge loss in my 2022 6.2L when I went to the 2500. Soon as the motor started ticking I said fuck it.

I would have dumped that POS a long time ago. Do it now while you can. I know the haters will come out, and that's ok...but if I was buying a 1500 today, I would be looking at RAMs. The HEMI and the Hurricane are good motors and the 8-speed ZF tranny is awesome. The 2027 redesigned GM motors will be coming out next year, but the thought of being a first year guinea pig is not for me.

I would contact an attorney in your state that has handles Lemon Law. They may be able to give you some advice on how to proceed. Each state is different when it comes to Lemon Law. Good luck.

May be far too late for that as a lot of time has passed, but you never know unless you try as all state laws are different.

Sorry to hear of all that bad luck.

I would call GM Customer Service and tell them you want some remedy for your loyalty. Tell them you want a buyback at full high book price. If your willing to drive another GM, tell them you want full book and $10k off a new one.

If you cannot get them to respond, then retain a lawyer and have them contact GM. Unfortunately, it'll probably cost you $3-5k up front to retain a lawyer. So you have to factor that into the assessment.

As others have said, all in it may be better to make the fixes and trade out of it or sell it and get a different vehicle.

As @securityguy said, Ram has some decent trucks. I've used a few of them for work for my business and my Dad runs them for his daily rigs. They've been good, but still have a few dealer visits, repairs, and recalls.

I don't think anybody produces reliable vehicles anymore. I've got a $45k jap rig and it is under a do not drive order, with no estimate of time required for repairs.

Good luck!

My 2023 6.2 was in the shop so many times, turn signal assy, lifters, catalytic converters, spark plugs all in less than 1 year and 5000 miles.
I tried the buy back and it was a joke. The truck needed to spend I think it was 30 days in the shop at one time lol.
The fact that they fixed the truck and gave it back to me didn't qualify for anything.
Fortunately I had a good dealer and got a loaner everytime instead of the silly thing chevy does and only pays $39 or something when you need to rent a car.
Like others have said just bite the bullet and get rid of it.
I did a crazy thing and traded that POS and bought the same truck in 2025 and haven't had a single problem in over 7500 miles

Can't say much about the Hurricane, but I wouldn't call the Hemi a good motor...That motor INVENTED modern camshaft problems, not to mention they can't build an exhaust manifold that doesn't crack.

As to first year motors, it's kinda sad that here we are....how many years into the 6.2?...And chevy still can't get it right.

Same with Toyota...The Tundra is now working on the 3rd model year recalls for the bad cranks? I heard the 2027 will finally be redesigned and corrected....So eventually, the 2026's will get called back, too. 4 model years to correct a bad crank design.

Maybe we can retry the Slant 6? Or the inline 292?

GM knows the formula of 'cost too much money to fight it' and the don't give a rat's ass.

Sorry to hear of your issues sounds like you have a bad one. I have a 22 also but no issues, no repairs. No Lemon law on used vehicles like the other member said. I would trade out of it. Maybe the same dealer can help you out and into a different one.

You guys keep saying no lemon laws for used vehicles. That's bullshit. Years ago, in 2002, I bought my wife a used 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT with 14k miles. Had a lot of problems with that car. After countless trips to the dealer for repairs, we contacted a lemon law attorney and ended up getting a settlement of over 12k dollars, after attorney fees and had the option to keep the car or trade it in.

If you're having that many problems, contact a lemon law attorney and see what laws apply in your state. I'm sure all states laws differ. I'm in Pennsylvania and I was able to get a lemon law settlement from GM on a used vehicle.

I believe most said generally does not apply and I believe folks said check your local state laws to see if they do or not. So none of that is bullshit.

Florida has no lemon law for used.

It’s not used and as it stands the motor was replaced and made it not even an oil change and blew again waiting on the third motor
