Added this JLT catch can in 10 minutes on my new truck. It’s for the gasser. I run them on all my vehicles.

Question on this. I haven't looked at this in a long time, but I remember 2 versions of the cans. 1 version only hooks up to one side of the intake, while the other version has more hoses that hook up to both sides. I would think catching oil from both sides would be important, otherwise why do it?... But I see the single side version everywhere. Anyone have opinions/facts to whether it matters?
 
In the 25k plus miles I've had mine, I've kept about 1- 1.5qts of oil going back into the intake. Don't care what anyone says about them. In the long run it's definitely gonna help!!!

I too have emptied enough oil that I believe is not good for the valves that makes it worth the $169.. I understand that some folks won’t use them, and that is perfectly fine. I just wanted to share because some people may not be aware. With direct injection only on the 6.6 gasser, I want to do what I can to keep intake valves clean.

To answer your question....I've only seen one style. I'd be interested to see the other and to know the difference between them.
 
I can't find the product I remember from years ago... It definitely routed hoses to each side of the engine. I've seen people run 2 catch cans as well, one on each side. I just don't know if that's overkill.
 
If I’m not mistaken the driver side is the return which dumps the oil back in the intake, the passenger side is the side that pressurizes so only the driver side is needed.
 
Yes, it's the side with the PCV. Unless the vehicle runs two PCV systems like a Nissan. In that case you would hook up both sides.
