I've intermittently been having issues where the live camera view stopped working on the rear view mirror and the driver side mirror not working with the 360 view. I've got a road trip to Louisiana coming up so I figured I'd take it to the dealer to have it looked at thinking that it could be battery related. After being parked for about 5 days the battery was dead, I had to manually unlock the doors and jumped the truck using my Noco battery pack and drove straight to the dealership. The attached picture shows my symptoms and it was like this upon arrival at the dealership. I called today and was told they could not find any issues with the battery or anything else. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can suggest to them?

A new bulletin was just released pit5689m relating to ground issue on passenger side fire wall. Not sure it pertains to your situation. The camera issue could be coax, loose connections or camera module itself.

Right.

I live in Florida. While cold temporarily reduces the output of a battery, heat slowly breaks is down and destroys it. If I get two years out of a battery here, I consider myself lucky. Not sayin', but if it were mine, I'd pop in a new one and see what I get.

Since the shop couldn't find any battery issues I had them keep it due to having an appointment with their body shop this week to have my hood painted due the paint coming off around the cowl. I go to the dealership today to pick it up from the body shop and the battery is dead again. Guess I'll see what story they tell me on Monday.

FWIW, in Texas regular batteries last right at 36 months on average. AGM batteries tend to make it to 48 months. There's always exceptions but this has been my experience and observation.

So having the same issue but my battery went from working to totally dead in about four hours. Waiting on a tow and am curious how to get this thing into neutral with zero power.

From what I've read there is no way to put it into netural for it to be towed. I believe this will also be an issue for us when we go to replace the rear brakes. If you found a way to do this let us know.

So there seems to be two methods. There is a tool that attaches to the shifter knob in the transmission itself that lets them turn it just enough to go into neutral. The other method is to use a battery pack to get enough power into the battery to let it get enough power to not start it but to shift it into N. They used the pack on mine. I did go through three towing companies before I found one with the tool.

You can also use a combination wrench (I think 10mm), where you can go under the truck and use the wrench to manipulate the shift linkage and get it into neutral. There are some videos on YouTube describing how to do it. Apparently this was being used for trucks that went into limp mode cause of motor failure. I have not personally done this, so do your research and proceed with caution.

Why do you need to put the truck in neutral to replace the rear brakes?

You have to put it in brake maintenance mode to retract the rear calipres. Look on YouTube
Exactly!!! Its not hard. I replaced my front and rear brakes not too long ago. Putting the truck in service mode is very easy. Has nothing to do with putting it in neutral.
