Cowboy coffee!
I'm not too crazy about the Monster drinks. They are too big, which is too much carbonation. The Red Bulls are carbonated also, but are small enough to not bother my stomach.I bought a case of Monsters from Costco and it took us 15.5 months to finish it. A case of Redbulls on the other hand is gone within a week
Tell us how you know. Honestly, how bad are they and why?Take it from me...Who used to down 4 or 5 Monsters a day....Quit them. Or you'll be the proud recipient of this nifty procedure. Don't ask me how I know.

The main issue with them is the unknown. It isn't about caffeine...It's about combining that with the other ingredients, like Taurine, guarana and ginseng. All that will combine to raise your heart rate, increase your blood pressure, which MAY cause issues. However, we know FOR A FACT that the combination of these ingredients does cause RCVS. It's a spasm of blood vessels in the brain that will cause you to stroke. In my case, I had the above pictured issue...But to be fair, it is THOUGHT that condition is caused by a tissue deformity from birth, but three surgeons I consulted with (one of whom did the fix for it) all swear that they see a large percentage of these things in people who consume energy drinks, which I was doing at the time, almost every day. I quit doing them and never looked back.Tell us how you know. Honestly, how bad are they and why?
Thank you for the explanation. Definitely something to think about. I feel that I'm pretty healthy right now, but really don't need to take any chances. We only live once. Don't wanna screw it up on purpose. The main issue with them is the unknown. It isn't about caffeine...It's about combining that with the other ingredients, like Taurine, guarana and ginseng. For about $100, you can get a cardio CAT scan (without contrast) that will give you a good idea of your heart health. It will show calcium deposits in the arteries surrounding the heart and assign a score between 0-400. It's know to be a pretty good indicator of future heart attacks. My score was a 3 (really good), but it found my issue before it killed me. Insurance won't pay for it, but all major hospitals and imaging centers offer it. Here's a guy who didn't get that done - https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/...d-aortic-aneurysm-covering-world-cu-rcna61527Thank you for the explanation. Definitely something to think about.
