Went to order a new 2026 zr2 HD bison, and found one that was almost exactly my order about 3.5 hours away, went ahead and picked it up!

I wasted no time changing it, and swapped the shocks for dirt king 2.5s, put baja designs amber lights to replace the fogs, added a backflip revolver x4 bed cover and builtright molle panels in the bed.
I also installed the comeup winch (what a pain) and I am currently waiting on method 708s and falken wildpeak rt01s in 37x12.5r18

Initial notes: dssvs aren't bad, but seriously lacking with any large bumps. The new dirt kings feel almost exactly like the dssvs, but also take big bumps like CHAMPS. Would definitely reccomend. HOWEVER their UCAs dont play well with the ZR2, and I ended up not installing them.

I will get some updated pics with all the new stuff installed when the wheels come in next week.

Do those Baja Designs fo lights have a fitted bracket or did you improvise?

These brackets work well, its what I used

Do you have an actual photo of the bracket?

I don't care for the fitment with the gaps showing around that round bezel. I made some custom bezels and brackets for my AEV Bumper to mount some flush fit Baja Design lights. Worked pretty well and looked much cleaner than having them set back. The rear bumper brackets and bezels worked better.

Maybe if I can work with this bracket, I'll make a bezel. The bezel was the easier part.

I didn't take pics before installing, I will see if I can find something

nice 👍
please share more about the dirt kings. i have been looking at them.
the rears seem a touch longer than stock, so they should work well
can you adjust them softer than the dssv?
how about freeway expansion joints?
thanks for any info you can share

The rears are almost exactly the same as the stock dssvs, which are pretty long. I havent gotten too crazy adjusting the shocks yet, but at some point you are just going to be limited by how stiff the springs are. The biggest improvement is in bigger bumps, its about the same on smaller bumps.

I dont have a whole lot of time on them yet, but I will keep the thread updated.

Just got the 37x12.5r18s on, barely fits in the spare as well. I am disappointed at how thin the falken 37x12.5s are, they look a lot more like 11.5s, but functionally they will be fine.

I definitely would reccomend going with a 13.5 for falkens, as those should look like most brands 12.5s. Either way, love the 37, as it fills the wheel wells nicely, and gives better clearance for the rear dif.

White knuckle offroad sliders are on, amd i think im mostly dome messing with it for now. Also put the builtrightind molle panels in the bed and I absolutely love them. They tuck so cleanly out of the way and dont interfere with loading up the bed.
