I notice the readout in the center of my instrument cluster is frequently on a screen I didn't select (i.e., I'll leave it on speedometer and it will change to trip odometer). It seems to change on its own with no rhyme or reason. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine only seems to change after performing a steering event, like backing out of a parking spot. I figure I'm just touching the selection wheel on the steering wheel.

Mine does the same thing, very sensitive and I don’t even realize I’m doing it. I guess I’m in the same boat with AXE.

This happens to me all the time, sometimes it is one result off, many times it is 3-4 results away from where it was. I am pretty ritualistic on what I keep in the display, and what few things I check frequently, and I have never found a rhyme or reason to it, I just figure the bus got a glitch in the data link and 'thought' I spun the right roller knob. I also run into times when I spin that same knob and it is ignored, so I agree that there is a gremlin in the works somewhere and basically expect it. I just put it back and don't fret too much over it.

Over the past year and a few months with two different trucks with the same cluster and same controls on the steering wheel; I have never accidentally changed the IP view.

Wait until you accidentally hit the cruise control turning in a parking lot and it accelerates!

Very seldom turn into parking lots at speeds over 25, and cruise will not turn on (at least in my past Silverado and the new one) at speeds below 25.

Guess I hold the wheel different than others.

Same here, I clip mine and cluster changes, driver error. Also hit the mode switch with my knee and go into terrain mode unknowingly when on the trail. Try chesting the steering wheel when backing off the throttle not expecting it, driver error :ROFLMAO:

Wait until it does it anyway! Then wait until the automatic braking system kicks in and hauls your ass to a full stop from 45 mph in the middle of an intersection, cause it seen a guy standing on the corner with his bicycle.

You're driving a shitbox GM, they do whatever the hell they want.....LOL.

Was backing up one day at the dealership. The 1500 I had before saw the curb and slammed on brakes. I was like WTF did I hit something? Looked all around and nada only the curb was present.

Yeah, its a tempomental system and the "safety" technology introduces safety concerns......LOL. The intersection issue happened to my wife's Tahoe, thankfully nobody was driving behind her or it wouldn't have ended well.

Fun reading the thread; however, wondering if a person thinks the vehicle is a shitbox GM, why continue to own it. And I would bet, Ford, Ram, Toyota, Nissan all have their little quirks. Enjoy posting, I need to move on to other things.

I own 3 of these shitboxes and they are wonderful little turds! You just have to spend substantial time and money to do the work that these dickheads at GM forgot about if you want to keep them on the road.

As luck would have it, I own a fourth shitbox now. This one made by Kawasaki. It's a $40+k high performance sxs with a stop ride notice cause the clutches are coming uncunted. I just spent $5k on an aftermarket clutch system so I can finish out the spring season having fun. Yeah, even the fucking Japs wanted to get in on the Detroit shitshow.

If you want to buy a shitbox, they are on every corner and likely in your driveway. You'll understand this better as the days go by.
