Half the problem is that all the young engineers are hyper focused on electric only power. It's just impractical for most of what we ask actual trucks to do.

You do know a locomotive is essentially a Hybrid setup. EV's are not even close to being ready for primetime yet.

The engines are not connected to the wheels in any way. Just rolling diesel electric generators with gigantic electric motors.

EV’s will never be ready until an absolute breakthrough occurs in energy storage technology. Lithium isn’t capable of what is being asked of it.

High speed charging decreases the lifespan of the material. Ideally, lithium energy storage is kept between 80-20% capacity and “trickle charged” between those values. This is true of anything else uses LiPo.


Look no farther than the phone in your hand.

Side note that not having Filthy energy charging as an option saddens me.

Im doing my part too. Im gobbling up dinosaur juice+ at an extensive rate. This should keep the tree huggers / ev crowd good and angry, allowing them to have something to talk about.
