Why U.S. Cars Use 0W-20 But the Same Engines Use 5W-30 Abroad

As with everything you post, I appreciate it. However, if you want to know what everyone is using, drive to the parts store and see what's stacked on the pallets with the "SALE" sign on it.

These AI congolerarion videos are such fucking bullshit. I've seen that same video pop up from a few different branded accounts. These fucking pukes will make a mint reciting everyone else's information from every other video and forum and written article on the Interweb.......hell it might not even be correct, but it was scraped by their bot farm, so run with it........society has fallen, just submit yourself now.

The information presented in the video is 100% spot on and there is no doubt in its accuracy. 0W16, 0W20 are ship oils. We should all be using at least a 5W30 in a warm/hot climate and 0W30 in a cold climate or winter months (minus the diesels) in a 5.3 or a 6.2. Toyota just came out with a 0W8...like that's not going to be a shit show!

It's all just AI generated bullshit that someone else already stated like the 3 others I've seen. Everyone knows what oil to use and it doesn’t fucking matter what some AI bot account tells you.

I live where it's hot as hell and my wife's last Tahoe had 93k and ran 0W20 for 9+ years. .No AFM problems, no lifter problems, no motor problems. 5k intervals.

My last HD is coming up on year 13 running 15W40 in both the hottest and coldest climate in America. 5k intervals. No problem!

I just listened to my ol man starting at age 6. No fucking AI generated videos, just wake up with a pulse and go about your day and change your oil and service your rig.

The EPA is the reasoning behind 0-20, 0-8, 0-16 oils. Auto manufacturers have to follow strict regulations for fuel economy and oil consumption. EPA has already sued GM over oil consumption for last gen vehicle models consuming/burning too much oil. I don't live in a cold climate state so there's no need for 0-20, I still run 5-30 in my other gas Silverado's. Oil thickens as it heats up, a 0-20 can't get thick enough for film protection in high demand environment. My 08 Silverado had Mobil 1 5-30 its whole life and got 368k miles out the engine before it quit.
