I’ve had one of these for a few months but haven’t installed it yet. Do I need to disconnect the battery before installing it? The truck wakes up when you open the door. I just don’t want it throwing a CEL when I plug it in. Do u just keep the key away from the truck?
It’s obvious we have to go towards greener options. With a little common sense anyone should be able to understand the planet can’t sustain all the pollution, let alone just becoming energy independent. But the solution can’t be worse than the problem. There’s nothing green about batteries. Or...
Hydrogen is on the way. Peterbilt and Kenworth both partnered with Toyota to use their fuel cells. Trucks could be on the road in 2025. Again, there’s no infrastructure but whatever. It’s almost like no one really wants to stop using oil so they just half ass everything that could replace it…..weird
EVs are a complete waste. There’s this big push in the big truck world to sell EVs. For every truck we sell that gets registered in California we have to purchase one EV from the factory. The factory rep even told us, EV is just a bridge to hydrogen. They cost twice as much as diesel power, go...
I used a Truxedo Low Pro on my last 2 trucks. I’ll do the same on this one. Keeps everything dry and it rolls up pretty tight to the back of the cab and out of the way.
The service advisor probably didn’t actually know. His statement was likely based on his personal opinion, not a statement from Chevrolet. I highly doubt there was any malice in his statement. Their brains don’t think past lunch time, let alone about 100,000 miles from now when you might notice...
Agreed. Different strokes for different folks. My ZR2 had 8500 miles on it when I bought it. Previous owner installed this $1100.00 Go Rhino bed rack I pulled off the first week I had the truck. The CAI is just a part of my build list. 👍
I ran an S&B CAI on my GMC AT for 140,000 miles. No codes. I’ve now installed an S&B on my ZR2. Yes, you can turn off the filter maintenance. Some of it’s just for looks but there’s also nothing wrong with letting the engine breathe a little bit. I couldn’t tell you if my fuel mileage improved…I...
