The advantages are it would probably start right up, no waiting for the glow plugs, and it would probably get your heater/defroster working a little quicker since the engine will be warmed, but you don't need to plug it in for the temperatures your in.

I believe it depends on which taillights you have. I also have a 2024 ZR2HD and was able to replace my back-up lights with better ones, but when I bought my truck the fancier taillights were not available due to a parts shortage so I ended up the the standard ones.

Other than being out of sync, it moves perfectly. i will try that sequence again a couple of more times and see if that fixes it and if not, I'll try the disconnecting the battery. Thanks

Thanks Axe. After a little research over the weekend, I saw some comments about it might not be getting enough resistance, like LEDs tend to cause. The trailer doesn't have LED's but I am going to try to an adapter that is supposed to address the resistance issue. I'll let you know how that goes.
