Had the Duratrac on a Trail Boss, I thought they got loud as well at about 12-15k

We had some snow this week and I was able to test it out, it appears that the rear locker will, in fact, work in 2wd mode. Probably would not use it that way but it does work.

With the stock Goodyear tires, where does everyone run the pressure? Mine are currently at 35 lbs but maybe that is not the best?

Sorry to hear of your issue. I have had 3 of the 3.0 Duramax trucks and they were great. Hopefully just a one-off deal

I did find that the 3.0 used more DEF when working harder, like towing than when just driving. I have towed SxS on aluminum trailers and generally would average around 18 mpg but not driving those speeds, more like 65-68 mph. Driving fast kills fuel economy, whether towing or not

I have had 3 of the 3.0 Duramax trucks and having nothing but good to say about them, only small hassle is the DEF fluid thing. Great mileage. My current 6.2 is certainly quicker but does average 8 mpg less on my regular commute route.

To be fair, the TB does have a factory 2 inch lift.
