There was an article a month or two ago that said the plant in Mexico would be re-tooled and up for the production of the refresh a couple weeks ahead of the US plant. So still on schedule I’d assume.

Some are made in Mexico and some are made in Indiana. I am glad they have production capacity in multiple places for redundancy and so we can get more trucks in the market.

It isn’t illegal to make them beadlock capable though.

I probably wouldn’t buy a version with the LT4 for the same reasons the TRX and Raptor high horsepower trucks don’t attract me. But I sure would love to see a ZR2 with the LT4 on the market because I love interesting vehicles. A supercharged Silverado is definitely interesting.

GM used Eaton for the Colorado ZR2 e-lockers so it’s a safe bet that they used the same supplier. I haven’t seen part numbers yet but I’ll see If any data exists in the aftermarket databases when I’m back at a computer tomorrow.

If you are placing an order and giving a deposit it should come as ordered. If they say you just get what they have you may want to speak with another dealer. Unless you are buying out of their inventory you have the opportunity to spec out your order and get just that.
