Got my letter from taking the Truck in to the dealership and being told there was no remedy the first time. three days later came a notice, and was told the reason why is because they put motors in and were never paid for them. so this is how its being done. and after receiving the letter, went back and found out, he he, It passed, lol :D new oil cap and replaced oil, had an update to help out as well for the Ecm. Im thinking should I still worry about this later? the powertrain warranty is 60k mile warranty only, and the other side is they said they would cover it I believe within a 100k mile warranty from the factory.
I was considering having only two options in case, 1. pull the motor and have the crank replaced from one by GM parts dept and the Dealer do it, or Machine Shop. and 2. save up or finance a newer generation L87 Motor, and the install by the dealership.
What would China do? :D

I would just drive it until it breaks and do nothing physical. You got your new oil, ECM update, and a gas cap. Drive it and be happy...don't worry so much...what will happen will happen ;) Life is too short!

If it fails in busy traffic at speed, life may get even shorter! That's the entire precipice of the recall and class action.

GMs new 6.2L will likely be a POS too. Remember these fucking pukes have fucked up the reliability of the historically most reliable Duramax, Allison, and small block components..........so you'd buy EVs......their trajectory is downward.

If you plan to buy a new GM vehicle, expect it to be the same shitbox. Until they decide to change their ways your trading one issue for the next.

the entire consumer community has been trained successfully to treat every purchase as temporary ownership. By failure or the desperate need to feel validated, its not designed to last. Everything from access to streaming content that can be taken away, to virtual items in games that are online only that can go out of business at anytime, to the quality of vehicles that we buy that will ultimately fail way before they should.

"ownership" in the modern world is now like a fart in the wind. It fkn stinks, everyone deals with it, then it goes away until the next fart gets blasted out and you have to deal with it again.
