I was on a biz trip and saw an ad on-line that the ECM can now be unlocked for $1000 and the tune is like another $900. You need to buy tune credits for like $399 and a programmer for another $399 or so. The total to get it done was around $2700. You send them your ECM and in 3-5 days you get it back. I'll try to find the ad I saw but it was from one of the companies Axe may have mentioned in the past.

Hey Larry!
Unlocking support is finally here!!
With HPTuners now offering an unlock service for your truck, we are working hard on getting those custom tunes you know and love from DuramaxTuner.
As we speak we have our 24' L5P getting driven on the dyno AND on the street to verify power, driveability, and reliability.

Some of the Canadien companies are doing full deletes and tunes and exhaust systems for $3200-3500. The advantage is that you'll get rid of the shitty emissions system (DPF and DEF), clean up your oil, increase mileage, 3-4+ mpg, and gain power/torque.

If your gonna keep your truck a long time, a full delete is the way to go. I think some American Companies will have kits and tunes available soon. I think depending upon the state you live in, these illegal laws will be shit canned as soon as the public comment period is done in 43 days.

Anthony got mad at me yesterday when I asked if if he would offer delete tunes. Seemed like his ass was chapped that the illlegal emissions laws were shit canned. Too fucking bad, Lee Zeldin just made rolling coal great again.

I guess a big question will be if manufacturers start making deleted trucks again, what will the value be of our trade? As you know, I typically only keep vehicles for 2 years give or take and then buy new again. If I wait too long to trade her in, I may get hosed on trading in my truck if folks know that deleted versions are coming soon from the factory. I understand this won't happen overnight. However, I was going to keep mine until 2027 and trade for a 28 (if the redesign took place). I think 2+ years to start manufacturing deleted trucks is reasonable if all of this stuff Zeldin's pushing is approved. I may also look at the new RAM for 2027 based on what I hear coming out of Cummins.

Yeah. I think it will take about 2 years for manufacturers to respond. Then demand will be through the roof and you will pay a huge premium for a new DPF/DEF/EGR emissions free truck.

Stellantis is reading the tea leaves. That's why they have quickly brought back the SRT program, cause they know that's what people want. They will probably be the first to respond to the diesel market.

That fucking skirt MARY Bad Emissions Systems Barra will be the last to deliver, 'cause she worships at the Al Gore Climate Change Alter. She's still pushing money losing EV scams that nobody wants.

There will still be a decent market for your truck. People will be willing to go to the effort to delete and the price might get a little cheaper than $3000-3500. So thats the reasonable worst case for price reduction as it stands.

Some people won't want to delete because they believe it's better for the environment, eliminates emissions oders, keeps soot off the side of your camper and boat, and keeps noise in check.

I personally like the DPF results as far as keeping my trailers clean from soot. But I've had some issues with DEF temp sensor, 9th injector, and NOx sensor. The first two put me in limp mode and I had to pull over. Once in traffic pulling 13.5k lbs up a 6% grade doing 70 mph and it shut right the fuck down. It slowed so fast with 23k lbs gross, I thought I was gonna get rear ended., had just enough shoulder to get pulled over. I was able clear the code and move on and eventually get back home a few days later after my hunting trip.......fuck that bullshit tho.

I see Run VSE is dialing up their program as well. They have an emissions in tact tune as well. You can get 5 tunes from them, one is +200HP, so a better value. You probably ain't gonna run much over +100 HP without transmission upgrades and other go fast stuff.

I seen a post from someone that said they had videos of deleted 25s on their Facebook. I dont have Facebook, so couldn't find them.

Here's a short message from their YouTube.
