Hello this is my first post in this forum, I just purchased a brand new 2026 Chevy Silverado ZR2 6.2L, when I was installing tie down points into the truck bed, I noticed the factory bedliner has a large defect in it when it was sprayed in. I have contacted the dealership and waiting for a response and fix? I am looking for advice from the forum as to how I should handle this and what you guys think would be the best fix to correct the problem.

I have attached some pics!

Thank you
Mark P.

Jesus Christ. It's a truck bed. Afraid it's gonna scratch your high heels? If you're gonna gripe about that, you might as well trade it back in. It's gonna be the least of your issues down the road.

I get it isn't perfect but be really careful what you wish for here. I'd use that as leverage to get something of value from the dealer - swag / service / etc. I would not want the dealer or their designee trying to "touch that up" - the odds of it looking worse AND having collateral damage would be just too high in my mind.

Thanks I actually just got home from my trusted local auto body shop and they agreed it’s a horrible job, they suggested trimming the folded over portion of the liner to remove the excess spray then leave it. I’m not looking for perfection, just wanted to point out to the group what’s being sold on the Chevy lot.

Look at your rear bumper and bed to see if they are mounted squarely. Wait until you paint starts chipping. That bedliner will be a distant memory.

If you want to do and touch up on it, you can buy a small can of Herculiner and apply a couple coats with a small brush and it'll look decent.
