Oh yeah..........I miss the days where every truck had a rack in the window. I still occasionally see some farmers and ranchers in rural America with them.

It’s been so long since I saw a truck with a gun rack I had forgot about them. Nowadays there is no way you would want to leave a gun in plain sight as some lowlife would steal it.

I remember seeing deer rifles (in gun racks) in trucks in the high school parking lot (1980s). No one said a thing and no one got shot! Those were the good old days.

My redneck brother went out deer hunting one morning when school was in session. He shot a buck and gutted it. Threw it on on the hood of the IH farm truck with his buddy holding one leg and him holding the other out the window. Then they did a drive by at the school with the horn laid on. I'm sure they had loaded rifles in the truck.

I remember sitting in class and see/hear them roll by and thought this might get some unnecessary attention. That was probably 1984-85....... good times!
