Last week I replaced the rear brake pads and sensor on my 2022 ZR2. Didn't get to the front pads cause it started raining. But when I was done with the rear pads, took the truck out of service mode and the DIC let me reset the rear brake pad % to 100%.

Finally got a chance to replace the front brake pads and sensor today but when I took the truck out of service mode I am not able to reset the front brake pad % at all. Also won't let me do anything to the rear brake pad % either, even though the rear was already reset last week. The DIC will ONLY allow me to disable the sensors. Won't let me reset them. The rear sensor reads correct at 99% but the front sensor still reads the same as before I installed new pads and sensor.
Anyone ever had this problem?

No problems like this to report on white trucks. Sorry amigo.

Jk. I need to do this too. I ripped the rear pad sensor a while back and I just figured I'd wait for the upgrade.

That's kind of what happened to my truck. The reason I changed the brake pads in the first place was that the rear sensor broke off in the brake pad and was reading 14% on the DIC with only 17k miles on the truck. So I just upgraded all of the brake pads, front and rear, to Bendix Carbon Fiber Ceramic pads and new sensors. The brakes stop the truck great now. Just can't get the front sensor to reset to 100%.

So do you think the computer % matched what you seen on the pads?

I just went through this with my Son's 2021 Trail Boss. Chevrolet wanted 30 minute for reset (about $110). I bought a Foxwell NT1009 ($650) which does the job and a whole lot more. I found very few bi-directional scanners that would reset the brake percentage. It worked on the 2021 but I have not tried it on my 2023 ZR2, I'll check today. I know the price was high for the Foxwell but I did a lot of research. It's more than an everyday scanner, you can reset TPMS, Key Fobs, etc. etc. etc.

Axe, FWIW, on the 2021 Trail Boss the percentage looked pretty close. I believe the percentage is managed by the computer until the sensor actually contacts the rotor and then you'll get a failure warning. I could be wrong of course.

Not on the rear pads. The rear sensor was broke and reading 14%, but the pads were at least 50%. Fronts read correctly, 82%, but changed all pads, front and rear, to Bendix Carbon Fiber Ceramic pads.
