I was hauling wood in the bed of my zr2 this weekend.
After off loading it I went to close the tailgate but it was closing crooked
Turns out the plastic clip that holds the tailgate in place broke. Has anyone had this issue?

Warranty work at the dealer!

It's not rated for a lot of weight. If you're exceeding what the manual says, it will potentially result in damage.

I see a lot of people hauling with tailgate down and loaded up flying down the road. I always move into another lane or back off.

I've seen a lawnmower levitate out the back of a truck like a flying saucer. Hit the deck and raced right down the road in the oncoming traffic lane. Fortunately nobody was coming.

Am I the only one that finds the idea of that entertaining to watch? :ROFLMAO:
It was funny for me, cause when I passed him the vacuum sucked that fucking mower right out the back of the truck where it was levitating above a bunch of other shit he had in the back. If it had been running and self propelled it might have caught up with me.

So I put the new clip in the tailgate, and the tailgate still is not closing correctly
When you go to close the tailgate it is working itself out of the socket on the bed.
I will take it to the dealer next and see what they have to say.
