Drone?

I've had my ZR2 3L duramax for about 6 weeks - and I'm coming from a TRX. I love the truck - but for one (or maybe two?) fairly minor things. The biggest one is what I perceive to be is a bit of "drone" in the 70-75mph range while cruising. It's not the exhaust - as these trucks are very quiet. It seems to be the rhythm of the engine at certain speeds. It's not super loud - and if the stereo is up or the windows are down, you don't even notice it. But if not, it's a bit annoying. Anyone else notice this? When I was going 65mph this morning, I didn't hear it at all.

Is it your tires by chance?

I don't think so. It has OEM tires and they are pretty quiet - maybe moreso at highway speeds vs. 40 mph. The truck is dead quiet at highway speeds other than the "harmonic" vibration. Very odd.

I could be wrong, but my stock tires were noisy at certain speeds and only noticeable with the stero turned down. I am not a fan of the goodyears so I switched mine out.. either way I could be wrong

I agree...the Goodyears are crap! I'm loving my KO3s
