Faded Shifter Handle

Good Morning:

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I believe it is a warranty item, notice only part of the shifter has faded. I can't believe it is sun exposure, especially being similar parts of the shifter are not faded.

Thoughts?

My Ferrari experienced that also. They told me to go F%^$ myself.

It’s piano black high gloss plastic. It’s not faded it’s full of fine scratches from being a high contact area.

Buff it and it will come back.

Took the truck in and they are replacing the faded shifter, no problem. I am impressed.

Tint your windows and that may help? Use a sunshade idk... but surprised you got them to replace it!

Sunshade in use (now); if they had balked, my argument would have been nothing else in the cab faded, cheap material. They never even asked.
