Front camera issues

So I’m again in a rental just before a cross country trip due to the camera that controls the adaptive cruise, collision warning, etc going out for the third time in six weeks. Obviously it’s not the camera itself at this point but something else. Has anyone dealt with this and what was the cause? I did notice that my cruise gap setting was resetting while I was driving so I’m wondering if it’s not possibly a BCM issue and it’s constantly refreshing or resetting the camera and it eventually shorts out?

That camera is located on the windshield. If you want to see what's causing the problem, look down from the camera toward the front grill. See that large branding emblem? THAT is the problem.
