wanted to post this as I just did it. The Infiniti app definitely made a sound difference in my truck. I think the personal sound piece is a gimic. But using the advanced eq, and setting it up is definitely nice. It does take your factory bass/mid/treb and bump it. So I would set them to mid if you only want to use the graphic eq.

I downloaded the app to my truck after reading this post. I think its made a BIG difference! There is a lot more bass and it seems clearer. I run all of my music through Amazon Music on Android Auto. I use Amazon's onboard app which makes a noticeable difference but this kicks it up another notch! I appreciate you letting us know about this.
Driving to work this morning I had High Plains Drifter by the Beastie Boys cranked up and it sounded great! 😁👍

I downloaded the app too and it's definitely a winner. Provides way more adjustment and bass is strong.

I recently did something similar on the Garmin Tread head unit that controls my audio in my Kawasaki Teryx H2. Made a huge difference there too.

It only took this collective group of dipshits 4 years to think of downloading an EQ app......LMFAO.

One thing I noticed is that running Spotify and Pandora requires going into my GM equalizer and turning the bass way down or it is way too heavy. Basically flipped my stock eq settings. Also bass kicks in hard at half volume.

This was especially true on heavy bass tracks like Clint Black Killing Time or Megadeth Symphony of Destruction!

Here's my Infinity app vs stock EQ settings.

Glad you all have had positive results. Ive always been an audio guy, stereos in everything since I was in high school. Missed having a real EQ, be it software or hardware. This definitely improves things in the truck for sure. Funny enough that facebook post popped up after I was cruising crutchfield looking for speaker upgrades..musta been a sign!

I do have a couple questions.

1 Do you have to start the app everytime you start the truck or is it the default once installed?

2) How do you get the app visible to the home screen when you push the music symbol?

How are you guys finding this in the Google Play store? I can’t find it. But I’m also on Android 10 if that matters

1 - No I don't have to start the app each time, I noticed in the notifications it shows an infiniti app notification with "default" profile...which I'm running the advanced and its definitely using the advanced one.

2 - I don't thing it can be added to the music screen itself like the factory EQ.

Also the annoying thing is that you can't manipulate the EQ when in gear....Guess Nissan doesn't want people having fun with EQs going down the freeway!

If on your phone while in Play Store, in the device drop down pick car. Then look for Infiniti Personalized Sound. You can download it from your phone to the truck then the next time you start the truck it will install.

What year are y’all’s trucks? @AXE do you have the update applied to your infotainment system?
Yes, I did it on my 2022 last night when I was trying to get my key fob to work. The only way I can get back into it is go back into the app store. I use android and thought you could save the app to the infotainment desktop, but couldn't figure that out.

Also sound is better with Bluetooth apps like Spotify and Pandora. Not quite as good with SiriusXM. Also sound is not consistent when you toggle between them due to how the sound is packaged from provider. I listen to 90% SiriusXM.

Strange my radio has an icon for personal sound with the Infiniti logo😬 just like you'd expect any other app you install to act. I have a 24...not sure if there's any reason for it to not show up there.
