looks like fancy bag. what is jounce??
It's essentially a rubber stopper or ball shaped object located between the frame and rear axle. It's to prevent overloading the suspension under heavy use.

Here's the ones I removed from HD to install air bags. It's the yellow/tan object.

GM has really slept on the 1500. The outgoing Colorado ZR2 had tons of OE support. From jounce bumpers to long travel leafs and Multimatics…. Right from Chevrolet performance.
I seen those other Colorado Chevrolet Performance parts when I was searching for that part in the picture. They look similar but different. Colorado has tons of aftermarket support too, way more than Silverado

I see my dealer has this Colorado ZR2 Bison coming in soon. I might go check it out. It looks awesome. My first 1987 S10 4x4 was this same tan color. This isn't mine but it looked like this with a full black grill guard.
