New to Travel Trailers

i recently bought a 29' Travel Trailer (wife's orders) that have a GVWR of 7k. I have towed a lot but not much with TT and not sure if I will need a weight distribution hitch? I haven't picked up the trailer yet till next week, so I don't even know how it sits. I have 24' 2500 HD ZR2 (diesel). can someone recommend I hitch if needed. I always just thought those were mainly for 1/2 trucks trying to act as a 3/4. the TT being a box or wind sail is the only thing making me think twice. friends I have talked to are 50/50 on if it is needed or not.
