I have a brand new, complete, AEV Bison Bumper still in the box on its original shipping crate. Has the fog lights and sensors installed. I also have the receipt from the Chevy dealership that back ordered it. Kind of a funny long story how I ended up with it. These can only be purchased through Chevrolet and are not offered from AEV to the public at the moment.

It was ordered as a replacement for my 2024 Silverado. The original bumper is still on my truck.

The receipt says $5,781.06. Yes, I can prove that to anyone interested. I am wiling to entertain fair offers. I will ignore low ball offers.

I live in Texas and can probably ship it anywhere since it’s still on the crate.

Question, is your truck a non Bison? The reason I ask, is I reached out to AEV last week about are they gonna offer the front bumper to non bison ZR2 1500 owners? They offer the rear bumper. But AEV said, They thought about it but said that it would cost the owner $8000 in parts alone. I’m in Texas but I would love to know how or what AEV dealership was able to order that for you. As I was under the impression that it’s not an easy install for us non ZR2 non worthy Bison owners.

Just making sure I'm reading this correctly...you paid almost $6K or the front bumper???

Yes, my truck is a Bison. You can see my truck in one of the photos I posted.
AEV told me the same thing the day I posted the bumper about the cost of parts needed. The employee there was less than enthused how I got it. I don’t know what it would take to convert a normal ZR2 or other model 1500. You’d probably have to talk to a parts rep at Chevrolet that knows what he’s doing or do some serious research on your own.

Long story short. I hit a small deer and the collision place called for a replacement bumper due to a golf ball size dent. A dent that popped out on its own. I guess AEV wasn’t joking about that boron steel.

My insurance did. I have no affiliation with the collision center that in their professional opinion called for the bumpers replacement. I just made the decision not to swap it out with the new one since there was no damage. Significant or cosmetic that I can find.

Understood...very nice that the bumper did its thing and wasn't damaged. I'm surprised the insurance company didn't want it sent back for a refund since it went unused. Not a cheap part at all.

That’s between the collision center and my insurance. And since there was photographic evidence of cosmetic damage. The new bumper belongs to me. I have no doubt the collision center would have tried selling my old one after seeing the receipt. Soooo

If another collision center needs one quickly. Since they take a couple months to get once back ordered. I have one. IDK, maybe someone wants a project or I’ll hit another deer. I live in a rural part of Texas and the deer are like rats around here.

According to the collision center. It is damaged. But I can’t find that damage. Like I already said.

That's too bad. I really like the Bison bumper, I think it's the cleanest design for the ZR2. But AEV is out of their fucking mind to think it's worth that kind of money, doesn't matter what it's made out of. And what the hell do they change on the frame horns and the front end that would require an additional $2,000-3,000 in parts just to mount the damn thing? The whole Bison option with ALL of the AEV parts is only $6,940 on a brand new truck.

I agree with you 100% on that. Fortunately for me I’m only out the money for my rental and deductible. I want so say the bison package on mine was around $8000 with the “rock sliders”. But the truck was marked down way more than that being an end of year model sale. So, I really didn’t pay for that either.

I think there’s a couple companies making a similar style bumper for the ZR2’s like ADD. That are much cheaper. But I could be mistaken.

Maybe I’ll drop this new one at a fab shop and have them weld on a brush guard. Since that deer was in mid air when I hit it. Took out my radiator amongst a lot of other things.
