I saw this article this morning concerning the 6.2L issues. hopefully they will expand it to all year models and be forced to actually fix the problems and not just put a bandaid on it

This is one of two major problems. The recall was for defective crankshaft journal / connecting rod issues. What you are referring to is a lifter issue. Delete kit will cure the lifter issue but will have no influence on the crankshaft / connecting rod issue. Unfortunately, people on this forum just say "my engine blew" - which really doesn't explain what the root cause was for the engine failure. Crankshaft manufacturing was supposed changed from Mexican production to US production in late 2024 so, at least theoretically, 2025 and 2026 models should not have defective crankshafts. 2025 and 2026 models ARE susceptible to the lifter failure issues - I am trying to prevent that with a Range module (stops DFM as well as start / stop so lifters are always engaged and full of oil / pumped up).the only way i know of to fix the 6.2 problem is a DFM delete kit and ecu tune.
Since we all know they are not going to set up and make new blocks, crankshafts etc for the 6.2L they should just give everyone a new 6.6L and call it a dayI figured they would have to at least include up to the 26 model year, since they are failing too.
The only way out of this is to do buybacks and get people into new trucks and hope they built the new motor better. The crushers at the salvage yard will be busy.
