Purchased a new 2025 ZR2 2500HD and just noticed it doesn't have paint protection on bottom of doors

Aren't all ZR2's suppose to come with the paint protection at the bottom to stop rock chips??? Haven't told my dealership yet, I just wanted to ask on here first. My 2023 1500 ZR2 that I traded in had it.

I thought so... Send a pic and let's compare. I thought mine had it, but idk.... I will check tomorrow.

Sorry, not great pictures. You can actually feel the Rock guard paint, it’s almost like bed liner with an Orange peel texture. I thought all ZR2’s and ATX4’s came with It but I could be wrong. I went by Ozark Chevrolet where I purchased both of my ZR2’s and they were surprised as well and offered to paint something comparable to match original. So I went ahead and scheduled it. Hopefully they can match it fairly well.😬

I agree. I had a lot spots where gravel from my driveway stuck in my tires and launched at my Rocker panels going down the road.
Yep. The Goodyear Territory MTs throw rocks like piss missiles! Now that mine is chipped up, I know where the Line-X will go......LOL.

I got a quote a few weeks back and it was about $1500. Seems a little steep for a light coating. I might do it myself with some Raptor Liner. I've done some trailers and sxs parts and it goes on easily and holds up well with the right prep work.

I'm not sure what they used from the factory but I noticed its really soft and rubbery feeling. Problem is its a greyish white and when the rocks knock the Black paint off it sticks out like an eye sore.
Black Line-X would be a lot less noticeable for sure! Hopefully they will shoot some factory paint over it to match the rest of the truck.

It looks like they used a paint protection film on your truck from the factory. I can see the clear film in the photos. Definitely different than the heavy orange peel coating on our 1500 ZR2s. I have not read anywhere that GM had plans to discontinue that on the 2025 or 2026 model years.

I don't think it has any type of protection on it but I will try to take a better picture tomorrow now that I got it washed. I have seen one 2025 AT4X in person and it had the rock protection. Also seen a few 25' ZR2's on Youtube that have it as well. I don't think they have discontinued it in the 2025 year models at least. I haven't seen any 2026 models yet.
