Considered trading my ZR2 in for a Escalade V…loved the power but couldn’t justify the cost. Ran a search but didn’t find what I was looking for.

Questions for the group:

1- Would you buy a used ProCharger setup? Found one local and seller claims full kit for around $5k. Not sure how much more install would be.
2- Would you even consider adding a supercharger to a 3 yr old truck with 50k miles?

Thanks for the input.

You can have the SC checked out. My friend put a used one on his 1997 Tahoe, several years ago. He had 100,00 miles on it. The truck ran great for years with no issues at all. He finally sold it a few years ago and it was still running great. He took good care of the truck as far as maintenance goes and that is the key. It not the SC, I would be concerned with, but those funky lifters that drop out with DFM. If there is no issue at this point you are likely good to go. I would just do my research to make sure. Superchargers , especially the ones with an intercooler don't build up the heat as much as a turbo does. Of course anytime air is compressed, heat is produced. The inter cooler really does a good job of dispersing the heat.
