Hey guys! As many of you have seen, and may enjoy :)ROFLMAO:), I haven't been very active for a few weeks. While visiting my Mom in Maryland to help her out, who just got out of the hospital and rehab from a bad fall, we were both in a very bad car accident. I was taking her to the grocery store driving her car, since she couldn't get up into my big ass truck, and we were hit by a speeding van. Car was totaled...my Mom is a bit bruised and I walked away with a broken left shoulder 😥 The accident happened a few days before Halloween on Monday and I had to drive 12 hours back to FL with a broken shoulder that Saturday...one of the most miserable and uncomfortable drives I have ever had to make. My shoulder is getting repaired tomorrow and I am not supposed to drive for at least 4-6 weeks which really sucks. I am going to have my daughter's BF take the truck out once a week for a 20-30 minute drive to keep it active so it doesn't just sit for a month in my driveway.

If I can ask each of you for your prayers that tomorrow's surgery goes off without a hitch, it will be most appreciated. I will try to stay current, via my phone, and monitor the forum to remain somewhat active. I love you guys and enjoy being a part of this family. Have a great day my friends and I look forward to chatting with you again soon.

This had crossed my mind just yesterday, I thought you had been quiet. I am sorry to hear about all this misfortune. That is a lot to deal with, especially when your Mom was already hurt. I'm am glad to hear you Mom and you are on the mend. I hope your surgery is successful and recovery is quick.

Your truck will be fine if it sits around d a bit. I had mine sitting this summer for weeks at a time. The last time it sat for 5 weeks and the only thing that happened was all my radio channels were wiped clean.

Thanks Axe!

good luck with the surgery and recovery. On a more important note - has the daughter's BF been properly vetted and qualified on said vehicle?
He has signed a 7 page document clearly outlining the expectations of this responsibility and drives a RAM...but I'm not holding that against him ;)

Wow, I'm glad you and your Mom made it through. Shoulders, I've heard can be a real bitch. Complicated joint. Good luck on the surgery. Keep us informed as to your recovery progress.

Good luck with the surgery. I have had 4 of them myself on my shoulders. Damn well sucks.
Damn! I can't imagine 4 shoulder surgeries. There's not much left of your shoulder joint.

I've had a separated left one for 17 years from a bad MC crash. I do exercises everyday so I can avoid the full shoulder replacement surgery. It has a lot of arthritis as well. He gave me an injection 3 years ago , and so far I can do most everything and no pain. The doctor says that it's a worse recovery than a knee or hip. Your a brave man!

Was in the military. Right should was great after the repair. No trouble for years til I had the three on the left. I don’t have full range of motion in either and they pop and crack a lot but I do what i need to lol.

Hang in there Big Dog...May a speedy recovery be in the future for You and your Mom. 👍In the meanwhile maybe ZR2bizon and Nullnomad can clown with some memes to keep ur spirits up while ur recovering lol. Got the Range disabler on Ole Blue yesterday and it's a whole new machine now...Didnt realize how doggy it was comin off the dfm and shift combo...Now she runs like a true V8 and no pesky shutoff crap anymore. Get well and hope to see ya back on the forum soon.👍👍👍👍

Been to the sawbones many times in my life, unfortunately...And I can say without a doubt that i know what you're feeling, I know how you're gonna feel, and I know that you're going to be OK. You will feel like shit for many weeks.... Then one day, you'll wake up, and you'll feel "new". One day, the sun will shine on your face and you will smile. One day...it'll be so far in the rear view mirror you won't be able to see it.

Hang in there. You're gonna do great.
