They cut the horn. So no audible alerts. There was a single parking spot between me and a GMC AT4. They parked between us and hit us both in just a couple of minutes. They used a key cylinder remover and just yanked they key cylinder out.

So where has everyone moved their horns? Second is there a key delete kit and a way to relocate emergency entry?

What did they take from your vehicle?
Replaceable stuff. More of a "look how easy this was" post so folks can be mindful. I was just trying to locate my horn because I realized my horn was disconnected and figured they had cut the wires and I was going to have to splice something. No! They physically disconnected it. So I for starters would like to relocate the horn. I'm also going to look for some train horn or something that is extremely loud and tap into the factory wiring.

They would have got nothing but I went to my hotel room with my first load and decided to cook dinner. When I finished eating I was going to go outside and get the rest and I happen to look out my hotel window and saw them pulling away. That's the short version.

Absolutely
Where exactly did it happen? Going on your forum name, these crews work the 10 - 45 - 35 triangle when popping cars. they're transient taking advantage of travelers all across Texes and soft targets just off the major highways.I live south of 10 and seen this happen constantly over the years.

Good catch on the forum name, but my job keeps me all over Texas and this happened in San Antonio at the Homewood San Antonio Sea World location which is off the 410 loop just north of 151.

Know that area well, used to be a member out at Hyatt Hill Country Club. That is prime hit spot, lots of money moves in and out of that entire area and most are super soft targets of opportunity since they're tourists. And being a fellow texan, you're well aware of the triangle I'm talking about and how these crews move like gypsies grabbing anything they can without fear of getting caught. I've even seen them steal appliances from every vacant rental in a neighborhood in that area in one night...

You need to put a 10mm round in one of their fucking heads and then leave the corpse on the hood! They only understand extreme violence, so you have to speak the language. There simply aren't enough bodies getting stacked, so the problem persists.

Ive found most door locks on any vehicle, are just to keep the honest people out. A secondary horn is pretty good idea, I might steal that instead of whats in your truck.

Yes I am and yes it was a soft target op. Shit happens. So now I'm just on a mission to make it more difficult as possible because I stay in hotels often. First time at that hotel and probably last. Unfortunately it's a part of life. But next time I will rather explain holes in my hotel window than missing my shit I need to work. It is what it is though.

Well glad keeps honest good honest. And at the end of the day I can only draw the unwanted attention or make it take longer. I'm not an engineer, so I can't fab the door locks, so let me in my abilities bring more attention. By all means take the idea. If I'm mindful, maybe I'll make it a how-to thread.

Only if I saw it 5 secs sooner.... But do is life. The universe has plans regardless of what I plan. I informed the hotel that I was 5 seconds late from explaining to them why the glass needed replacing...

Yea I was an unfortunate part of a 8 car/truck hit about 15 years ago. Lost a lot that day, never again. As you said, it is what it is. Stuff is replaceable, but pride was scared forever.

That area blows. I remember staying right in that same area and the week before someone stole all the Catalytic converters from the cars parked in the lot. Hotel wasn't even surprised.
