lol! It’s all a giant show. Boomers continue running the country into the ground leaving their children and grandchildren trillions in debt with runaway inflation and on the brink of wwIII. Now we are like communist China taking over private companies. The government makes worse or destroys every fucking thing it touches. This won’t end well. All the boomers in the gov need to be voted the fuck out. They’ve had their chance. Just my 2 cents.

10% is just the beginning. Once government starts something they never know when to stop. Name one thing government has made better. One thing? I'll wait. I love, respect, and care about my parents and same went for my grand parents but, even my boomer Father will say it's time for the McConnel's, Sanders, Grassley's, Pelosi's of the congress to hang it up. Since you think I'm wrong ask yourself when all the debt was created? Who started all the pointless wars? I could go on for hours. Who's pushing for more war? I'm not saying more government is good, in fact I believe in as small a government as possible, but to name something the government does (not saying they do it perfectly but) is provide our military, and while you may feel the world is a safe place, it's not, and we are already being taken over by the AOC's, Ilhan Omar's, Rashida Talib's and Mamdoni's of this country from the inside, what would happen without our strong military? I agree it is time for the fossils to go, and I agree that younger blood is needed for the most part, but not just any young blood (see prominent names above as examples of just some of the worst young blood in office today), I'm also not saying that the national debt is good, or that is was justly increased, just that it is what it is and we need to start lowering it instead of increasing it, show me any responsible boomer that doesn't agree. As far as Grands, I have 6, the oldest is 30, the youngest is 18, and I take up the rear of the boomers at 64 (born in 1960), and I completely feel the same pain as you about the situation, and of course I care about my Grandkids future, but I can't navigate it for them or live their lives for them, they will need to figure it out themselves. Please tell me a single company that government has completely taken over ala China or North Korea ever in the US?

DOGE was a good first step at cutting out some of the bullshit, but it didn't go far enough.

However, if we don't have meaningful tax reform or significant cuts, government will always be pissing away our money.

There's no way government should have enough cash to give $27 billion for automakers and $10 billion for Intel in just 8 months time. That's just a small portion of what has been doled out. Some of these commitments were made during Biden's debacle, but Trump's doing it too. It just has a different twist to make it sound like we'll see some meaningful return........I am very skeptical the taxpayer will see anything meaningful, but the politicians and Wall Street will get theirs.

Unfortunately, the government hi jacked our entire financial/banking system when they illegally created the Federal Reserve and then Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to control the home mortgage industry, not to mention Federal Student Loans program. Basically money doesn't move unless the Fed says so and the government sanctions it.

Government should be setting policy and proving regulatory oversight, not running a fucking racket or ponzi scheme! Which is what it has become. They have substantially weakened our country running up the debt. The strongest military in the world can't save it, because it is totally built around heavy taxes and excess spending under the guise of "national security".

Just to reiterate my point Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac has a $7.7 trillion mortgage loan portfolio and the Federal Student Loans is $1.6 Trillion, so thats equivalent of 25% of our Natinal debt. While theoretically the mortgage is backed by real assets, the student loans aren't. It's just a giant financial bubble.

We probably agree on more issues than we disagree on. I believe government has about 5 jobs. Defend the country. Keep the citizens safe from crime. Provide infrastructure. A few others but that's about it. My point is all the negatives happened on the boomers watch. Not all their fault given they didn't have access to information we have today. That said, when I told my Father (A Vietnam Vet) the gov likely played a roll in 911 20 years ago he would go ballistic and say I was crazy and a traitor. Ask him today and he'll say "your probably correct". There are young anti Mandami's out there. They are just considered too radical by the boomer conservatives. Maybe not the greatest example is Gaetz. Removing McCarthy as speaker was the right thing to do. He was right. We need people like Gaetz willing to shake things up. The status quo just gets us more of the same. Johnson is weak. Thune won't advance Trumps cabinet picks. It's the boomers that want to keep the old ways in place. The boomers on both sides are robbing the country blind through NGO's and special interests. Time for them to go. ASAP!
