Does it only attach with the tape? historically in my area, that stuff fails pretty quick in my conditions.

I'm not 100% sure how it attaches, but from what I read in the FB post on these the tape is just to protect the paint on the hood where it sits, I am pretty sure @Mixander Xi wouldn't attach these with 2 sided VHB.

Thats why i asked the question, couldnt quite tell by the pics provided.
