2024 Silverado with Bose subwoofer question

So a kicker hideaway is less then half the cost of the Chevy kicker under seat rear subwoofer. Has anyone installed a hideaway and if so what was the results?

I recall a few of these. There are several threads on this topic and some with photos of instructions. Just do a search and they should come up.

I run one in my boat and it sounds great.

I have a Pyle Hideaway sub that I installed in my ZR2 a few months ago. It is more powerful and cheaper than the Kicker Hideaway sub. I am very happy with the Pyle sub. It really enhances the stock "no bass" Bose system. The key to getting it to sound good is getting it adjusted properly. You don't want the sub to overpower the rest of the stock system. Gotta remember that you are only adding a powered sub, not upgrading the whole system. You have to equal out the sound between the sub and the stock system. It took me about a week of playing with it, but now that I got it right, it sounds pretty good and I'm very happy with it.

P.S. If possible, get the 10 inch sub. I got the 8 inch sub and although it sounds great, I seem to wonder if the 10 inch would sound better. The bass from the 8 inch sub hits pretty hard, but normally a bigger sub will have deeper bass and hit harder.

I put Infinity Reference 6532IX- 6-1/2 and Infinity REF-9633IX Reference 6x9's in the rear and front doors, coupled with the 8" kicker Hideaway powered sub under the rear seat. I pulled the input signal from the rear speakers. As mentioned above, a bit of tuning is necessary but when completed, the overall sound is very good for a stock music system.

Yep, the tuning is the hardest part. Took me about a week of playing with the settings on the sub and stock system to get everything equaled out to where I was happy with the sound. Now, for a stock system with only an added powered sub, it sounds pretty damn good.

I went a little more aggressive and upgraded the door speakers as well, and replaced the factory amp powering everything

Where'd you hide the pyle?
Rear or front seat?

Did you have to remove any foam from the vertical section of the rear seat to allow the amp to breathe and avoid overheating?

Yes, there was a section in the seat backing that was already that shape that I removed. It was not part of the actual seat, it was sound deadening.

Under the rear seat, in the middle. Just cut a small piece out from inside of the factory under seat storage box and slid the Hideaway sub right down in.

I probably could, but you might not like it the way i like it. Everyone hears things different and everyone has different taste in sound. It's kind of something you have to figure out for yourself so the sound suits your taste.
