You can buy a third-party device for $50 on Amazon that will load CarPlay onto any headunit.

On behalf of GM and all the upper management and C-suite executives, allow me to convey this message: "GO F^%$ YOURSELF" . As for me, I'd say that you probably won't be able to do install your own apps, but I'm just guessing.
