****6.2 RECALL HAS BEEN RELEASED*****TSB NEEDED

Glad your safe! That is one of the primary issues related to the failure. If you are in traffic or on challenging roads you are at high risk. I worry about this with my wife's Tahoe and she an my daughter are in it daily.

Did you have the recall performed and the ecu programmed to detect the vibration and throw the P0016 service code?

I had a DEF temp sensor go bad on my previous Duramaxx towing my toyhauler trailer up a steep grade. Went right into limp.mode and lost 90% of power. Busy Interstate, with just enough shoulder to pull over. That is the most vulnerable Ive I've ever felt on a roadway........total bullshit that these vehicles are prone to abrupt failures.
Thanks, daytime would not have been as bad i think. I just got the 2nd recall notice and was planning on scheduling the recall for after an upcoming trip.

Quick update: Dealer is replacing the motor and from what I was told it shouldn't take long. And all covered under warranty.
Just take a video and pics of the entire vehicle before taking it in. Several owners have experienced their vehicles getting damaged and/or the paint scratched up during this process. Have the documentation you need to cover your @$$ before just dropping it off.

Here's what the carnage looks like during surgery. Shit hanging over the fenders, tools and parts on the windshield and cowling.......and this is probably the clean version as my dealer is usually pretty good.

Id be pissed. However, I have learned (the hard way) to take pictures of everything. Time before last, somehow they messed up the tint on both rear doors. Tried to say they didnt do it. Needless to say, in the end, they paid for my tint. They wanted to use their guy I was like nope I have specific tint put on by a specific person and that is who is doing it.

I think we've all learned that lesson and some the hard way. If those on this forum haven't learned that lesson yet, here's their chance to do what they need to to protect themselves.

Most dealers now a days have those fancy camera racks they drive your vehicle through before they perform any service so they know damn well if they damage something.

Actually most do not. They are super expensive and many just have the Service Advisor use an iPad to take pics or a video but many also do not. Don't count on anyone but yourself to protect yourself.
