Just because a company likes to advertise has nothing to do with quality, performance or snake oil. It is VERY well respected in the market and there is no indication it doesn't do exactly what they state it will do. In reality, most all of these products are essentially the same just different formulas and concentrations.

Because it's already in the gas when you buy it...Maybe they should spray some of it on those lifters....

Yea, petty much....Again, never used it, don't have first hand knowledge of it, but don't trust snake oil sales tactics. Maybe one day...But for now, I'll stick to what has been working for me.
Maybe one day, we'll get some better diesel fuel here in the U.S of A.

Diesel Kleen isn't really that great, especially at lubricating. There are better lubricants and detergents. Opti Lube XPD and XL is probably at the top of the list. There was an independent test done years ago and it mopped up!LOL I have had 6 of the 6.6 oil burners and never had a problem engine related. I have always used Diesel Kleen at every fill up for all of those years.

You don't have to answer these questions, but...
Who did the test?
Who owns the company that did the test?
Who paid the company that did the test?
Who dictated the conditions of the testing?
What were they specifically testing for?
Whenever I see a company snake-oil selling me something based on "independent test" performance, it feels like I am taking it in the shorts, because none of those questions I asked are ever answered.
Not saying anything about the product you mention, or you for mentioning it...Just putting that out there.
I'm not a chemical engineer working in a lab, and neither are any of you, so.....

What part of "independent" don't you understand? It was paid for by crowd sourcing the funding by members of a Duramax diesel forum. Look it up, it ain't complicated.

By the way, if your looking primarily for lubricating you injectors and fuel pump, then 2 stroke oil is the winner to lower the scar rating of American refined ULSD. Might be at the expense of your DPF if you go overboard.
That's why I chose Opti Lube XL about 10 years ago. Injector balance rates are spec and no blown CP4 in 11 years.

Can't make the fanboys read, either...I guess you didn't notice that your "study" indicates Opti-puke has the highest ratio of additive per fuel of ANYTHING other than the 2-stroke oil they tested.
Ya think maybe the results would have varied if the ratios were the same for all the products? Ya think maybe...just maybe...That won't work out too well for the DPF in the long run?

They were mixed at manufacturers specifications. Anything else i can clarify for you, I'll be happy to do so. I know we don't all learn at the same pace.
No fanboy.............I study it, I test it, I decide if its working. After 11 years and never having to clean my injectors and original DPF, I'll trust my process and conclude it probably works for it's intended purpose.

All three of my camera modules went out which control the lane assist the collision and the blind spot indicators.... Praise God the issues I've had have been electrical and not drivetrain. Each state is different You are correct! According to a lemon lawyer in California, which is the state where I purchased the truck, I qualify for either a buyback or a pay and keep option. Highly considering doing it.

Yeah, it's ridiculous to try and keep these rigs on the road. I'm just seeing more and more problems on low mileage trucks as the days go by. Hopefully you find the right solution for your needs. Good luck!
