Easy now..........it was just the tire on the boat trailer. I was coming off the lake and about halfway home and I hear a noise and by the time I made it down the road to a safe pull off the tire was gone. Tires been on there several years, but low miles. They go bad just sitting around, the same as running them hard.

What a CF though, I had taken all my tools out of my truck when I had it at the dealer last week. Forgot to put them back in, so I had nothing to work with. I haven't done stoopid shit like that since the last time. Had to call my wife to bring out my chase truck with some hardware.

I use L1-L6 for towing with the 1500 and it's much better towing if you keep it between 2000-3000 rpms, especially with small grade changes. They also tow better with 0w20 oil!

Lots of bass zipping around, but they didn't like what we were throwing.

Sux about the tire but the fishing sounds fun
Yeah, trailer tires suck in general. I don't run my trailers that much, but tires go bad do to UV and high ozone levels were have around here. Nothing another $600 won't cure, I always do all four at the same time.

Agreed.

It could be all these diesels accelerating climate change thats affecting the rubber compounds.
The county I live in, Maricopa County, has the worst air quality in the nation. We have a lot of particulate matter from dust and emissions, high ozone from heat/UV, and we get a lot of smog that blows in from California. It fucks with my bresthing when ozone levels are high, which is most of the summer. This place has become a shithole. We should just move in a few million more people and see if it gets better.

Nice looking boat you got, Axe. Mine is about the same size, just a bit older. Haven't taken mine out this year yet. Still rehabbing my knee. But will get out soon.

Denver gets a brown cloud too from pollution, it's unreal to see. Just a ring of crap around down town. I'm no scientist but they too say it's from other parts of the country and it just sticks there.

Thank you! It's been a pretty good boat for last 15 years. I picked this up new in 2010 in the aftermath of the great recession for a really good deal. I think I could sell it for close to what I paid for it. The new ones are nearly identical with some cosmetic improvements and they want 2X $$ for them.

It's not a great fishing boat and it's not a great ski boat, but it does a little of each just fine. I had Ranger bass boat before this, but wasn't much fun with kids. Might get another one some day, but they cost more than a truck nowadays and not sure I get out enough.

Only repair I've ever made to the Mercury 5.0L MPI motor was replacing the exhaust header gaskets. Got a leak in the power trim reservoir tank. I thought I fixed last fall, but seen it started again. May need a new whole assembly.

Yeah, I've seen it there too. Salt Lake City gets that even worse. They call it the inversion layer. Cold air pushes all the pollution down to the surface and it condensed the particles and you get the ugly brown cloud. I live out north of town and it's higher elevation, when I woukd drive into work you can see the brown haze and gray cloud hanging over the city. Makes you sick looking at it.
