Easy now..........it was just the tire on the boat trailer. I was coming off the lake and about halfway home and I hear a noise and by the time I made it down the road to a safe pull off the tire was gone. Tires been on there several years, but low miles. They go bad just sitting around, the same as running them hard.

What a CF though, I had taken all my tools out of my truck when I had it at the dealer last week. Forgot to put them back in, so I had nothing to work with. I haven't done stoopid shit like that since the last time. Had to call my wife to bring out my chase truck with some hardware.

I use L1-L6 for towing with the 1500 and it's much better towing if you keep it between 2000-3000 rpms, especially with small grade changes. They also tow better with 0w20 oil!

Lots of bass zipping around, but they didn't like what we were throwing.

Agreed.

It could be all these diesels accelerating climate change thats affecting the rubber compounds.
The county I live in, Maricopa County, has the worst air quality in the nation. We have a lot of particulate matter from dust and emissions, high ozone from heat/UV, and we get a lot of smog that blows in from California. It fucks with my bresthing when ozone levels are high, which is most of the summer. This place has become a shithole. We should just move in a few million more people and see if it gets better.

Nice looking boat you got, Axe. Mine is about the same size, just a bit older. Haven't taken mine out this year yet. Still rehabbing my knee. But will get out soon.

Denver gets a brown cloud too from pollution, it's unreal to see. Just a ring of crap around down town. I'm no scientist but they too say it's from other parts of the country and it just sticks there.

Thank you! It's been a pretty good boat for last 15 years. I picked this up new in 2010 in the aftermath of the great recession for a really good deal. I think I could sell it for close to what I paid for it. The new ones are nearly identical with some cosmetic improvements and they want 2X $$ for them.

It's not a great fishing boat and it's not a great ski boat, but it does a little of each just fine. I had Ranger bass boat before this, but wasn't much fun with kids. Might get another one some day, but they cost more than a truck nowadays and not sure I get out enough.

Only repair I've ever made to the Mercury 5.0L MPI motor was replacing the exhaust header gaskets. Got a leak in the power trim reservoir tank. I thought I fixed last fall, but seen it started again. May need a new whole assembly.

Yeah, I've seen it there too. Salt Lake City gets that even worse. They call it the inversion layer. Cold air pushes all the pollution down to the surface and it condensed the particles and you get the ugly brown cloud. I live out north of town and it's higher elevation, when I would drive into work you can see the brown cloud and gray haze hanging over the lower elevation city. Makes you sick looking at it.

I would not have thought that was a 2010. That's why i said mine is a bit older. My boat is a 2009 Four Winns H190. Yours is in great condition. Looks a lot newer than a 2010.

I was thinking along the same lines with selling mine and getting something newer, but like you said, I just don't use it enough. I think i only took it out on the river a total of 6 times last year. Opted to ride my bike rather than take the boat out. Haven't been out at all this year.

This isn't my boat, but mine is absolutely identical to this one.

Four Winns makes a good boat too.

Yeah, the last summer I was up in Dakota working a lot, so barely made it out on a few trips. I was on the water with my Dad in his walleye boat, so had some fun there. But when the boat sits in the garage for 360 days, then we ain't doing it right.

Exactly! Just don't have enough time to justify a new boat. If I docked it down at the Marina I might use it a bit more often. But since I keep it at home, packing everything up, towing to the dock, put the boat in the water, taking it out of the water after a days fishing, drive back home and unpacking everything......sometimes it gets tiresome. Easier to hop on the bike and ride for a couple hundred miles.

Yep, campers and boats and motorcycles are a lot of work and maintenance. But the thing about motorcycles is that I'm not worried about others schedules and needs. Just jump on and go for a while.

Yep. It's so easy to pull the bike out, warm it up then get on and just ride anywhere you want. I'll bet you have some awesome roads to ride out there in Arizona. Not bad here in Pennsylvania either.

There are some decent roads around here, but you have to get up into the mountains to get anything good. There are a few roads with some tight twisty turns and some really nice scenery. I'd say there are about 300 miles of roads that are really fun. A lot of it is straight and boring with too much traffic. Too many people in the state now, it was more fun 25 years ago. Now your just dodging dipshits coming into your lane.

Offroad riding and single track with dirt bikes or dual sports is very good. Lots of great places to ride on Forest Service and BLM and State land. Probably the best part of being out west is the public lands are avaliable to ride, so long as you play by the rules.

Well, if I want to buy American made Goodyear Endurance tires, they are now $180 each for these tiny trailer tires. I can get the host of ChiNa specials for $80-100 each, but I give those commies enough of my money!

Of course you guys would migrate to motorcycle riding as I sit here healing from crushing several fingers and can’t ride for a couple months.
That sounds brutal, what happened? How you heal up fast!
