Bourbon Talk

Just picked this up on whim. I’ll find out if it’s good tonight.

Should have some bite!
Just started my first pour of it and it’s not as harsh as you would expect. The quick hit review is its fruity on the nose and hits like a spicy Granny Smith apple. It’s almost hard to describe. If you blind pour with 3-4 other bourbons you would probably say “wtf is that?” when you taste it. Very different than what I normally buy, but I like it. Great change of pace.

We went to a tasting tonight. We had Boss Hog, Jack 14 yr, Michters 10 yr Rye, Russel 15, Eh Taylor Barrel Proof, George Stagg, and a couple of others. Left with a bottle of Fiddler Antique Rye.

My question is... Does it have any Granny Smith Apple notes?? My Fave Apple.

The first sip, yes. Kinda caught me off guard actually. As the ice melted it smoothed out and almost reminded me of four roses cask strength.
Nice!! I may have to try it.... My pour tonight is Eagle Rare 10... Just a fave of mine that has some sentimental value... Also... CHEERS!! It's Friday!!!
