Hello forum.
I'm new to this forum and also don't have a ZR2 yet. Currently driving a 2012 Suburban 2500.
I'm looking into a truck camper to do drive and camp in back country roads, in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. And maybe someday take it to Canada and Alaska when I'm retired. I'm looking into the combination of the Four Wheel Camper's Hawk model and the spec and weight looks like it'll fit the Silverado HD ZR2 with the gas engine nicely. Does anyone here have that combination and can give some feedback? Are airbags needed for that setup? I won't have the camper on the truck the whole time. In the winter time, I'll take the camper off and maybe put a tonneau on it for ski trips.
The other setup I'm considering is the F-350 Tremor with either the FWC Haw or Granby model, or maybe the Outpost 6.5 or 8.0 model depending on the bed length of the truck.
Since there are a lot washboards here, I'm guessing the ZR2's shocks will handle those conditions a lot better than the Tremor.
Doing a lot research right now.
