Hey! I have a 26' 2500 ZR2 and have been looking for some pictures of aftermarket wheels or spacers to gauge look/stance on the truck. Gonna put on some 37x12.5's. Bora spacers made specifically for Scovel Motorsports looks enticing. They have .65, 1.35, 1.65, 1.85 and 2" options. Have a friend with a older model that went for his 1.65 spacers and they have been great for him. Im leaning towards the 1.35 for basically a -3 offset with factory wheels. Will have to trim the studs a hair. 1.65 seems cool too lol. Can't decide if I go the spacer route to try it out. They're lug centric, hub centric and lug to spacer Centric (supposedly the only ones that are) with his beefier lug nuts (claims better then factory pr aftermarket wheel ones). Any one have any experience with these? Also opions on the sweet spot for offset with aftermarket wheels? +18, 0, -18? Thanks for your feedback.

I just went with some 0 offset rims and put the stock tires back on. They don’t stick out a noticeable amount or anything. Minor rubbing in reverse with the wheel cranked. 37’s @ 0 will probably need some trimming.

That looks pretty good! With a 12.5 wide tire, might be what im looking for. I figured I'd get the AEV trim kit for 37" and probably 2 or 3 turns on the torsion bars. Was going to go with a smaller 37 option like the BFG K03 or a Recon Grappler there 36.5".

I think the stocks are basically a 12.5 inch tire. Some rough measurements with the stock tires on those rims to some 35x12.5 winter tires on the stock rims and I think they’re quite close width wise

Yeah your right. I was thinking they were closer to 11.5", a true 12". Its odd tho pictures of actual 35x12.5 look a little bigger. Or a 1/2" makes a difference (lol). Probably because there not Goodyear. In the tire world I wonder how exact they all are. Thinking thats why people have different fitting or rubbing experiences. I think the 0 or a -12 would be a nice stance without looking to much like a "try hard".

I have -12 on my 1500 and that works well cause the stock wheels were tucked in further. I think on the HDs, a wider tire on -12 might get pushed out a little too much. One thing to keep in mind is the soft paint on the trucks, you'll get more rock chips without adequate mudflaps. I have plenty of chips with the stock tires on my 2500HD, but I don't run mudflaps.

I don't like spacers for towing heavy on heavy trucks. I have run them on smaller rigs. Do you have a link to those spacers?

I almost convinced myself to try -18’s because I liked the rims so much but I originally tried to get +18 but they were backordered so I settled on the 0’s.

Haha yeah you actually had me worried that the stock tires were way narrower so I had to measure the winters to make sure they’d also fit 😂.

Yeah, solid advice. Think the 1.35 of intent that route might be the way to go. Ive talked to this guy about the ones he specs with his bolts and he has guys towing with no issue. Compared it to just towing with just offset wheels. I would install myself, proper torque, thread locker all that. I dont pull more then 10k pounds but if I noticed anything out of ordinary, Im out like 700 bucks and just go a diffrent route.

Yeah, I've run some Bora spacers in the past. Definitely the way to go vs cheapo stuff.

Yeah might be giving them a shot. I like the factory zr2 wheels alot actually. Alot better then the factory at4x ones or other factory wheels.

That's one of the reasons I never went to 37s. But now I'm thinking about it again as the tires have worn. Might just get some new wheels and keep the Bison ones for good measure.
